Say hello to Digital Daggers. They are a duo consisting of friends Andrea Wasse and Space and they have been enjoying some really great TV syncs lately in the way of ABC’s “One Life to Live” and The CW’s “Nikita”. Most notably, their haunting cover of Tears For Fears “Head Over Heels” was recently featured in The Vampire Diaries and I must say – it’s one damn HOT cover version. Things can generally go horribly wrong when covering one of the greatest 80’s bands (yes James Corden and Dizzee Rascal – I’m pointing at you…), but Digital Daggers have managed to keep the essence and mystique around this well-known classic song very much well intact.

If you have a minute today to get to know a new band, I’d love you to check out Digital Daggers – their tracks like “No Easy Way” and “Envy” are something really special – it’s acoustic electronica with an edge that’s pretty hard to ignore with all sorts of lovely shades, emotive passion and underlying darkness.

Discover Digital Daggers for yourself on MySpace.
