"Edei_Loved_Packshot"

It's been awhile since I heard any news about newcomer pop chantuese Edei, but she's just released her latest music video for "Loved" and it's quite good. I like that instead of going down the obvious electro-pop route like most new artists these days, Edei uses real instrumentation and pays homage to the classic melodies of yesteryear to help make her sound real and most certainly relevant and fresh.

Edei is about to get a lot of exposure too – she's been asked to join the JLS UK tour alongside EQ fave Rian Peters and it will be great to see how her music resonates with the kids. I really like Edei and hope that she catches on – I think this type of music is a great alternative to major label acts like Pixie Lott and Eliza Doolittle who have let me down a bit…
