You might already be aware of hotly tipped emerging DJ/producer Secondcity (The same who has chosen to go with a double dip production moniker reflective of his roots both in the UK and over the pond in Chicago) via his recent chart melting piano-house debut single “I Wanna Feel”.

Of course this is no way the beginning of the story, since over the past year the Secondcity profile has also been garnering up some serious respect amongst his peers that include Disclosure and Skream for his on-point skills in fashioning a fluid 90s-house wall of sound.

A sound very much in vogue right of now owing to the current house revival, Secondcity is keen to follow up on his monster debut with “What Can I Do” and has scored disco-house stalwart Mr Ali Love as his front of house.

Whilst it is not unusual these days to see Ali Love’s name associated with a buzz-hot club / dance orientated project or two, it has been that mainstream success has eluded the steadfast singer / songwriter / musician. Could all this be about to change with the cross-over orientated “What Can I do”?, since Ali’s vocals remain tinged in a sultry disco fever capsule of dance floor nostalgia as they have ever been! Teamed now with the chilled production approach of Secondcity, the pairing surely have a dusk-till-dawn late summer floorfiller on their hands.

Not only does Secondcity manage to keep our ears locked-down on this splendid-daisy tune he also keeps our eyes firmly affixed on the post-it-note creativeness which comes amusingly through via its accompanying office environment directed visual.

Standard issue such as “Please ring” and “Urgent” will never be the same!
