Remember Swedish pop artist Vanbot?, we’ve known her in the past for such brilliantly fizzing electro-pop offerings as “When My Heart Breaks” and “Make Me, Break Me”. Well after a brief hiatus whereby she’s been fashioning new material, the Scandinavian darling returns to the music arena now, piqued with a new single in tow and which ultimately leads in nicely towards revealing something of the sonic setting of sophomore album “Perfect Storm”.
Our first introduction comes via the sweepingly dreamy tones of “Trooper”, an all embracing euphoric synth-trinsic number which wouldn’t look so out of place if it had been included on the Say Lou Lou album actually.
All told it’s quite a sweetly demure opening choice of single, which is triumphant in majestically engaging in suitably opening the floodgates of re-acquaintance with Vanbot, whilst purposefully leaving us desperately wanting to hear more already.
