Electronic-pop group Parralox have released the lyric video for their new single “Crying on the Dancefloor”. The single is the follow up to their “Recovery” album that garnered numerous positive reviews, most notably for their singles “Eye in the Sky” and “Silent Morning”. Celebrity blogger, Perez Hilton has also just featured the band on his new his compilation album, Pop Up! #4, which includes “Eye in the Sky” and has garnered almost 150,000 views on YouTube.

The new single “Crying On The Dancefloor” is a collaboration between Parralox (producer/front-man John von Ahlen and edgy new vocalist Johanna Gervin) and lead guest vocalist Francine; a London-based singer / songwriter who is currently recording for her debut album.

The lyric video for “Crying on the Dancefloor” is fast-paced and visually dynamic spectacle, which draws inspiration from 80’s electronica culture. The lyrics pop up, in, and out with the beat of the music and the tone of the song is complimented by the vibrant animated imagery. The lyric video is a pastiche of famous record cover artwork, redesigned and animated by John von Ahlen in a style that is truly unique to Parralox.

Coinciding with the release of the official music video, “Crying On The Dancefloor” will also have a special remix EP, which contains numerous established electronic producers including 7th Heaven, Supasound, Naked Highway, Will Alonso, Your Silent Face and more. Following up the remix EP later in the year will be the release of Parralox’s new album, Subculture, which serves as the next step for Parralox, marking a new sound reminiscent of The Human League meets C+C Music Factory.

Managed by EQ Music, Parralox has a lot more in store for us in the future, but for now be sure to check out their lyric video for “Crying on the Dancefloor” on YouTube.
