Austin based Jinx McGee is a musician, comedian and proud member of the LGBTQ+ community. What he doesn’t know about mixing all three attributes to produce, authentic and unabashed tracks of a thought-provoking nature with a healthy helping of comedy. Cannot be written on the back of a postage stamp. He’s a bonafide talent, skilled in the art of looking at life through a playful eye, but exudes quirkiness with it. If he put his mind to it, he could probably write a book on the subject. However, making music is one of Jinx preferred creative outlets, so he’s taking the plunge, readying a concept album cheekily, entitled “Succulence.” The first taste from it is the track “The D.” I feel it best that I handover to Jinx to tell you more about it.
“After a million songs about the female form and a million more about ‘the booty’, I thought it was high time that ‘The D‘ got the love it deserves! I’ve produced hundreds of songs for dozens of people, but none of them were telling MY story. That is why I decided to take matters into my own hands and write a love song for the male anatomy, as I truly do find it both beautiful and comical. The result is this fun and energetic song/video that I couldn’t be happier with. They say the best things in life are free… I think the best thing in life is D, and that is why I wrote this homage to man’s best friend: The D.”
If you weren’t awake before you watched the above clip. I am guessing, the lighthearted video has you very much, awoken now. As Jinx previous comments. It is not every day we hear about the world’s population of disco sticks being celebrated in a way like this. I feel an additional bonus of the audio stream (below) is in order.
