I have said this a lot of late, Finland is becoming the new Sweden! The strike rate from the Finns is currently rolling out so much of its hidden, talented emerging acts, that in truth we were sat wondering what took them so long to catch-up?!
In the case of Helsinki experimentalist duo Femme En Fourrure, they have been to the quick, catching onside discerning pop culture seekers, by the turn of their mesmerising, altruistically feed beat-making.
From what first started out as being far to the left of field, has since switched on some greater electronic pop lustre and as such after walking a the line between the darkness and light, teeters into the realm of shimmery enlightenment on current single effort “Seer”.
Not fully giving up on the acerbic punctuation which cuts its way through into the steely alchemy of the duo’s work, it’s here in essence carried among the underbelly of pounding bass and at the helm of Sandra Tervonen’s, esoterically glistening vocals.
Ultimately, amassing itself to be the duo’s most up-tempo and pop assertive effort to date. “Seer” retains enough of its full metal jacket of creatively sought direction that, the noted shift shouldn’t offend fans of old into thinking, these alt-pop Finns have sold-out completely on their witchedy intoxicating artistry.
With a video engineered to encapsulate a mood nodded towards the hedonistic, you’ll not be disappointed in its perpetually addictive allure.
