Already being a fan of the song “A New Way” by morgxn, I am especially pleased to see the arrival of the music video which goes alongside it. Like much of his existing repertoire, the narrative of the track is mighty and powerful. Implementing a relatable theme about growing in confidence, pushing through dark times, and emerging into the light with positivity on board. A song of hope and renewed optimism. It sees morgxn in his element in all areas of performance.
“home” was such a massive song for morgxn last year, but “A New Way” has its own kind of fierceness to match. An anthem for all lost souls, to find inner peace within themselves. It has modern classic written all over it. The supporting video clip is directed by Matt Delisi and features LGBTQ+ community members Melissa Befierce, Lori Queen, Sonique, Gracie Cartier, Jeffrey Bertollini, Amber Romero and more. It captures the singer catching up with his past, reliving memories and finding a sense of self-made resolution to carry him forward. The clip begins, where we see him sitting in a dimly lit room summonsing up past episodes of turmoil, in flashbacks. The visual ends with the singer standing on a rooftop. Somewhere in between, we see him in the midst of a nightclub. It tells a soul-stirring story, and I will let you watch it all pan out for yourselves.
As morgxn lives over the pond in LA, he doesn’t come over the UK too often. STOP PRESS! He will be appearing at the Pride event in London taking place in the iconic Trafalgar Square on Saturday, July 6th. He will perform alongside Billy Porter, Becky Hill, Saara Aalto and Heather Peace.
While I am sure quite a few people will be discovering him for the first time, I think morgxn will make the Londoners see he is the star turn that they didn’t expect.
