In addition to her stint supporting pop/rock icon Sting on his new Sting 3.0 power trio tour across Europe. The French-Italian singer-songwriter Giordana Angi continues releasing new tracks a plenty. Namely, singles lifted from Giordana’s newly released English-spoken album “She’s So Great.” The album is not only Giordana’s first recorded entirely in the English Language, but also allows Giordana to explore the pop genre as never before. Assisted by Martin Kierzenbaum as co-writer and a producer of the project. Their collaboration has only gone to expand upon Giordana’s musical creativity. Whereupon, the newest single “My Treasure” spotlights more of a summer vibe from the singer.
More specifically “My Treasure” is a song about embracing intimacy with a lover. The lyrics indicate Giordana’s willingness to share personal time with the object of her affection. In no uncertain terms, she expresses lyrically “I Know it’s my pleasure, to offer you my treasure“.
To give “My Treasure” a somewhat sultry allure, the soundscape is achieved with a Spanish/Latin-styled musicality featuring rhythmic guitars and percussion instruments. In fact, because of featuring a traditional Spanish musical flair the track is quite a different take on a summer anthem.
It does stand out, however, how much Giordana seems to have enjoyed making the music video that was released alongside the track “My Treasure.” We see her enjoying a bare-footed walk along a golden sandy beach as the shallow rolling waves, gently lap the shore. Carefree, she basks in the sunshine glow of the golden hour sun. Notably, before reaching for her guitar to strum in accompaniment.
Giordana might as well appear so smiley, she just completed the tour with Sting, after all. She has indeed earned a breather and relax. I hope Giordana manages to get away on a sunshine holiday to luxuriate and unwind. Although, I quite imagine she hasn’t finished with the promotion of her newest album in totality yet.
