The current pop landscape is thriving on a rich blend of pop, R&B and soul influences, and a new generation of artists are stepping confidently into that space. Among them is rising UK singer-songwriter Ellie Allen, who has been steadily building momentum since her 2025 debut single “LIKE IT.” With each release, she continues to showcase a growing sense of artistic identity and an instinct for crafting emotionally resonant pop.

Allen is emerging alongside an exciting wave of similarly fearless female talent, including Say Now, XO and Samira — artists who are collectively redefining modern pop with unapologetic lyricism, magnetic hooks and empowering energy. What makes Ellie particularly intriguing, however, is that no two of her songs feel the same. She leans into vulnerability, openly navigating the emotional highs and lows of love and relationships through songwriting that feels honest, reflective and quietly powerful.

Her latest release, “LOVEBOMB,” might just be her most immediate and dance-pop savvy offering yet. The track sparkles with confident pop energy while maintaining the emotional depth that has become a hallmark of Allen’s songwriting. It’s the kind of infectious, attitude-laced pop moment that wouldn’t feel out of place in the catalogue of artists like JADE or Tate McRae — and that alone speaks volumes about its crossover appeal.

Adding another creative layer, Ellie also directed the music video herself, leaning into a deliberately abstract visual concept. As Ellie explains,

“The video process was all created and directed by me. I’m a big fan of music videos not really matching the song. It would’ve been easy to create something potentially super girly and follow the ‘anti-men’ trend currently going around, but I wanted the video to give more of a ‘mental crash-out turned visual.’ There’s definitely nods to breakup vibes within the video, but I wanted them to feel grittier and more abstract against the video’s cold set.”

With “LOVEBOMB,” Ellie Allen continues to prove she’s not simply following the pop playbook — she’s actively shaping her own. And with this bold, self-directed chapter, her breakout moment may be closer than ever.
