At least someone has been having a good 2020. Regardless of everything going on, pop star on-the-rise GRACEY has been no stranger to lighting up the pop charts. Earlier this year she went top ten Top with the 220 Kid collaboration “Don’t Need Love.” (The single still continues placing in the current official chart.) However, this collaboration wasn’t what put GRACEY on my radar. It was the solo effort “Alone In My Room” (Gone) which sent my interest soaring.

The Brighton born singer teamed up with Australian star Ruel this summer for “Empty Love.” Again, the track kept the momentum moving forward for GRACEY. Truthfully, I was hoping for another solo release from her. Yet it is collaborations which keep on springing up. You’ve probably heard, the super-catchy dance-pop offering “Like That” featuring the vocals of Chicago native Alexander 23 which dropped last month. But have you seen the video yet?

The clip is one of the better one’s which have been made in lockdown. It features the everyday gadgets we use to keep active in our social lives, more so at the moment than at any time ever. Mobile phones, desktop computers etc. interspersed with footage of GRACEY getting her groove on at the supermarket. Which thinking about it, is probably the closest in comparison we’ve seen to a group of humans dancing in a club for many, many months.

The slick vocals, delivered in the chorus have been stuck in my head for the past few weeks. I realise now I maybe should have supported this one sooner although, I really don’t think it is nearing burning out yet. That being said, I’d still like a solo release or two from this excellent future pop star to land soon.
