Is it really time to start pulling out the jumpers? Are you sure it’s time that we need to turn on the heater? Are you that sure it’s getting cooler outside? Is it really time to stop all the holiday fun? Are you sure summer ends on 20 September?

By the looks of Max Barskih’s latest video ‘Last Day Of Summer’ (this time it’s in the Russian language) it’s true, the last day of summer has arrived. Though, just because the season is over, doesn’t mean you have to forget the fun times you had either.

Just like all the videos before it, Max is no stranger to a cinematic approach. Every time you turn on a Max Barskih video, the production values are on-point. The video then transcends the typical music video realm and enters a realm of pure visual artistry.  This time his work of art brings him to the beach. Yes, you know where this is going…it’s going to get hot! So you might want to turn on that fan while continuing to read this post.

The waves crash onto the Ukrainian pop maestro as he becomes entranced by the ensnared siren of the sea. I would be remised to say, doesn’t it feel a little like an old school Calvin Klein advert? Don’t let that be a downfall, cause let’s be honest – this is quite easy on the eyes! There is a lot of caressing and sensual touches that border on the erotic side here. Yet, when you break down the song…it’s not a surprise, he doesn’t want that moment with his special summer love to end.

Though, all good things must come to an end.  As his siren of the sea returns to her natural mermaid form, he is sadly forced to end their special time by returning her to the sea.

All that are left now are his memories.
