There is never truer word said that something timelessly beautiful can evolve through the simplest of forms, none more so than this perfect new offering from El Perro Del Mar (Sarah Assbring).

Lifted from her fourth album “Pale Fire”, El Perro Del Mar delivers poignantly confessional song “I Was A Boy” – documenting her early childhood years growing up alongside her brother in tomboy harmony.

As El Perro Del Mar re-counts through a supremely minimally crafted and affectingly revealing, eloquently placed one take live video capture (by Swedish directors Belle & Light) she hones in on and guides the listening eye and ear to transfix their gazes upon her simplistic spotlight whilst, becoming completely absorbed into it’s compassionately elegant fabric, in as much the same fashion as Sinead O’ Connor achieved through “Nothing Compares 2 U”.

Underpinned with a gently swaying dreamy rhythm and melody, the introspective becomes complete with the final layer of demure and moving acoustic.

Nothing but a rush of lusciously mellow karma surrounds the perfectly exquisite aura around “I Was A Boy”.
