Just as the unseasonably warm weather we are continuing to experience here right now with us in the UK, Swedish pop chanteuse Marlene is also longing out her “Indian Summer” EP release by shipping out a new video in focus upon “I Do This For You” another track forming the EP.
Fact! “I Do This For You” is quite triumphantly beautiful, steeped in a pattern of skittering drums, combined with a woozy cocktail of synth sultry verses that tumble into a rousing chorus, breaking with steely guitar licks, which in turn effectively simulate the crashing of waves.
In representation of the twinkling piano straddled EP title track “Indian Summer” Marlene whisked us over to a budget-style tropical location of a glasshouse but this time for “I Do This For You” she’s pulling out all the stops and taking us all off with her to experience panoramas of a rugged coastal landscape at first hand.
All in all we should look upon “I Do This For You” as quite the epic most cut to date from Marlene.
