Undoubtedly, the bustling festival season offers a fantastic opportunity to show support for our beloved music artists and discover new emerging talent. Independent alt-pop singer-songwriter Jason Kwan has been capitalizing on the outdoor music season since the release of his sophomore EP “Deja Vu” in June. He has been enchanting audiences at Pride celebrations nationwide and making notable appearances at various festivals.
It is only fitting to ensure that these extraordinary experiences are preserved. Filmmakers and videographers intimately capture footage in these live settings. In this instance, filmmaking is courtesy of Nilly Cetin. This footage is then expertly curated and edited by Darius Shu, resulting in a vibrant and celebratory compilation-style visual clip. This captivating visual accompaniment beautifully enhances the essence of the focus track “Faith,” which is a standout piece from the “Deja Vu” EP.
Furthermore, in the video clip, it is especially inspiring to see Jason on the main stage at London Pride, performing to a huge audience. Also encouraging to note all that Jason does to promote Queer Asian visibility. Likewise inviting the all-Asian dance troupe, the Dragon Boiz to join him on stage. Therefore increasing representation ten-fold. (Eagle-eyed viewers will notice Asian-Australian pop singer-songwriter, TIN who also performs as part of the Dragon Boiz).
“Faith” stands out as an exceptionally empowering and uplifting anthem within the “Deja Vu” EP. The track exudes a soaring, euphoric energy, delivering a powerful message of hope and resilience. (Notably intended in support for trans and non-binary individuals.) It is meticulously crafted to inspire and encourage them to embrace their true selves. Maintain unwavering faith, and adopt an optimistic outlook, despite facing adversities. This anthem serves as a reminder to remain resilient and steadfast in the belief that attitudes towards diversity and inclusion will evolve positively.
Undoubtedly Jason Kwan is a rising star in music, especially so within the LGBTQ community, this is why we are super excited to have Jason play at our upcoming New Artist Showcase also featuring Dan Aura, Milahroy, Eduard, TIN, Emmett, and Yiannis at The Camden Club in London on 27th September 2024.
