No one does smooth electronic music like Ninja Tune producer Bonobo. His single, “Cirrus” from the upcoming album “The Northern Border” is another classic to add to his long list of feel good tunes. “Cirrus” is a perfect combination of metallic sounds and instruments with a melodic tempo. The record gets progressively better as it continues to add subtle meditative elements that eventually explode into a peaceful finish. Bonobo is notorious for making music that can make you dance, feel sexy and reflect to. I spend time listening to Bonobo when I need to be inspired or even romantic. His album “Animal Magic” has been the soundtrack of many dates.
The new album will feature collaborations with some incredible voices like Szjerdene and Erykah Badu who appears in “Heaven for the Sinner.” Bonobo will embark on a live tour kicking off this spring in the US and ending in London at the end of the year. The show will remove the producer from the DJ booth and allow his beautiful compositions to come alive with a full band and live vocals. I plan to be one of the lucky viewers who will get their mind blown.
I think at this point I can safely say that any album released on Ninja Tune is going to be a smash. Their roster does not have a single flaw! To me it is one of the best electronic record labels in the industry.
