If you are anything like me, you’ll be hoping that the warmer weather arrives soon. As presently, the daytime temperatures outside are what could be regarded as mildly tepid. (My, sun tops haven’t made it out of the wardrobe yet, I am still snuggling into my woolly jumpers most days.) Also if I were to ask most people what they might be dreaming of right now, what do you think they might say? I expect along with several things, thoughts about taking a holiday, rates quite highly. The lure of chasing the summer sun sounds good, but there is another angle to the meaning of the phrase “Chasing the Sun“. It is one that two time MOBO nominee Nate James explores in his new dreamy single of the same name, out today.
Speaking about the track, Nate says

In their music mastery, Nate and Clyma make light work of evoking, the heat of the summer vibes in the music, using soft, velvety strokes of soulfully leaning pop melody. While at the same time, the lyrics detail what it is viewing life as a glass-half-full kind of person. To ultimately be driven by optimism that fills the heart and soul. But remembering life is a journey and some things, especially the achievement of goals and dreams, works out best when they are not approached in a rush. Taking care to slow the pace of life down, is also a way of taking care of yourself. We should always be mindful of this even when the life-load begins to feel a little heavy.
I really like the empowered, message of this track. It is lyrically on-point. So soothing with an inspirational tone. Exactly what is needed as we get ready to regain some normalcy in our day to day lives.
