Foxes

So it seems that Foxes sophomore album is still set to go at its revised release date of early next year (February). Although, we’re not going to say phew yet just, because know all to well how Foxes debut album of “Glorious” was stalled and re-scheduled until it finally made its way into our itchy palms.

It’s been a 6 months promo journey since the upcoming “All I Need” disco pop dazzling teaser single “Body Talk” was on the receiving end of our glowing review. Which I must admit feels like forever and a day ago now.

If you want to grab yourself a reminder of the “All I Need” story so far:- we mustn’t forget of course, that on our way to “Amazing” we’ve also encountered the thoughtful minded contemporary pop song “Feet Don’t Fail Me Now” and the defiantly emotive “Better Love” also.

In dishing up “Amazing” as the latest countdown single, Foxes steers right back into the path of the kind of rousing tuneage of starry pop effort that we took to our hearts and were liberally littered throughout her debut album “Glorious”.

One other thing that we’ve come to recognise about Foxes is that any promo video she makes has to be made up of storyline, enabling the actress in her to extend into role play. It’s not necessarily glitz and glamour, quite often it’s a topic of the ordinary people, like you and me.

Foxes sings of doing want you want and being a free-spirit. Sometimes this means going out on a limb and throwng caution to the wind. In Foxes video life, she chops off he trademark flowing locks of brunette hair, packs herself a suitcase and runs away in a camper van on a girly roadtrip with her besties. So basically, this video is Foxes having a little holiday with her friends all charged to expenses and accounted for as a video. Nice work that! Ok maybe these ladies aren’t really her ‘real life’ friends.

We get the general picture though, don’t we? Foxes likes to live life less extraordinary, more ordinary. What could be more definitive of this than going out for your Birthday drinks down at the local community hall. Even though our invite got lost in the post, we feel like we’re at the party anyways. So cheers! Bottoms-up! Slàinte Foxes!
