Today’s Uniform Beat Week feature is an EDM and house double whammy with the incredible Callaway & Rosta and Kodie, Sweden’s (more talented) answer to Pitbull. Both artists pack a unique punch with their dance-floor ready singles and without a doubt deserve your full attention.

Callaway & Rosta’s current single, Rest of Me, is house music at its absolute finest and it is hard to believe that this is only their debut single! Coupled with the powerful, uplifting vocals of Daniel GidlundRest of Me proves to be an empowering dance floor banger with some feel-good lyrics that aren’t so typical with EDM. The combination works fabulously.

The music video, which is a bit bizarre on the first viewing, appears to be an interesting exercise in fake mustaches and a not-giving-a-damn attitude, which surprisingly enough fits in nicely with the actual song. Don’t think too much into it when you watch it, just enjoy the ride. In a year packed full of EDM bangers, Rest of Me stands out from the rest and is sure to be a top favorite song for 2013.

Also blowing up our speakers today is Kodie, Sweden’s very own answer to Pitbull, but with much better music. Kodie currently has two incredible dance songs out, All Night Long and Tornado. Both songs are club-ready party tracks that will fit nicely on your Friday night playlist along with the likes of LMFAO and Far East Movement (or whatever you’re into).

I will always be the first to admit that I have a preference for more pretentious music with meaningful lyrics, but these tracks from Kodie admittedly hit that guilty pleasure spot I have for pure party jams. Both All Night Long and Tornado have irresistible beats and choruses and deserve to be blowing up your speakers all weekend. Check out the music video for All Night Long below and stream Tornado here:
