July 14th sees the release of “Blackout” by The Whip. The Manchester foursome have been dominating my pod lately with their fierce electrifyingly infectious debut album “X Marks Destination” for quite awhile and I couldn’t be any more excited with their single choice of “Blackout”.

I really thought they were going to release “Fire” or “Trash” as the next single but nevertheless, “Blackout” is an ace choice as it’s got that indie-rock-Oasis-sounding vocals in it while keeping it all very electro with it’s whining synthy swirls in the background and head-bopping beats.
