Premise: Timothée Chalamet plays a youthful Henry V in his ascension to the throne of England in the aftermath of his father and brother’s death.

Why I liked it: I am not a fan of period and historical films – it’s just not my bag. However, The King offers up something a bit more compelling here. Timothée Chalamet shines in the lead role with Robert Pattinson giving us a bit of much-needed humour midway through as his nemesis from France in this fresh new take on the life of Henry V. You’ll love watching this on Netflix when it’s released. Get yourself a takeaway and tuck in to this cinematic gem on your next big night in.

UK and US release date: Out now in limited release in the UK / Hits Netflix on November 1st
