AUGUST 2020
Who is featured…?

There are plenty of big pop releases from the usual suspects, i.e Lady Gaga x Ariana Grande, Harry Styles, Dua Lipa, Kylie, Kim Petras and Troye Sivan. They are joined this month by Tyler Glenn, Dannii Minogue, Jessie Ware, Kygo, Ella Henderson, Ella Eyre, Netta and JP Saxe.

Who you should have on your radar:

Believe it or not, while some of the major names in pop have rescheduled or pushed back releases because of not being able to promote live at this time. Emerging future pop stars are still cracking on with raising their profiles.

Isaac Dunbar is serving such major, cool vibes, with his dreamy genre-bending style. He’s quite possibly the next big thing in music, as far as we’re concerned. Be sure to check “makeup drawer” it is a particular favourite of ours.

The album “Surrender” has our eyes opened to Mickey Taylor, who is building a growing listenership with ambitious and frank pop songs about relationships and heartbreak. On the strength of this offering, he is clearly one to watch. You’ll find him on the playlist with the provocative track “D**K.”

Being lined up as the next big pop sensation to come out of Sweden, is Nea. She has written for artists like Zara Larsson (Lush Life”, “Don’t Worry Bout Me” & “TG4M), Tove Styrke, Tinie Tempah, ALMA and Axwell to name a few. A prospering solo pop career seems a safe bet.

Could Django Stewart be the latest newcomer about to cause some disruption, on the new music scene (in a good, way?.) It is hard not to mention the famous parents. Dave Stewart (Eurythmics) and Siobhan Fahey (Bananarama & Shakespeares Sister.) Their pop prince has done, good, with his solo debut release “Burning Bridges.”

Please DO go and explore the playlist and discover a new favourite track and/or artist for yourself.

We’ll update you again on “This Beat Is Poptronik” news sometime soon.
