Mrfogg

The picture above isn't Mr. Fogg, but rather an advert for his unique pop-up music shop that will be hitting London's busy Oxford Street next month on December 9th – 12th, amidst the Christmas shopping madness!  At the pop-up music shop, fans, randoms and passers-by will be able to experience Mr. Fogg's unique and blissful electronica music and if they so desire, by a Mr. Fogg album or a badge or two for their other musically-inclined friends of electronic pop.

Sounds cheesy?  It's not at all.  In fact, it's rather forward thinking and fully supports my thoughts in getting artists and musicians back into the stores…

Here is what Mr. Fogg had to say about his pop-up shop idea…

"It's about creating a little Mr Fogg world just off one of London's busiest streets – seeing my logo in amongst the McDonalds and Starbucks. But it's also about putting music back on the high street. Just about the only place you can buy physical records now is your local supermarket along with the pizzas and frozen peas – this is an attempt to create an opportunity for people to interact with music in a slightly more creative environment."

Need some convincing?  Well, Mr. Fogg makes some incredible electronic music in the realm of Owl City and Lights if that gives you a nice comparison.  He's also worked with Bjork's producer, Valgier Sigurdsson if that lends a bit of credibility to your thinking.

I'm already a fan – make sure you check out "Moving Parts" on his MySpace and I think you'll agree that Mr. Fogg should be someone that you add to your radar…
