Marla has a bone to pick with one of her slutty girlfriends with her new UK single "Lipstick For The Vampires" which is a fun little infectious pop rock number – kinda evocative of Daniel Powter's "Bad Day".  Judge for yourself if that is a good thing or not, but having listened to the track a few times this morning, I'm quite diggin it.  It's got a pre-summer feel good "feeling" about it and I could definitely see this track being quite radio friendly when it's released May 24th.

Marla is new on the music scene, but she's already been working with some top industry people including producer Jony Rockstar (Sugababes, Lilly Allen, Will Young, Robyn) and her record is being mixed by Pete Craigie (Take That, Kylie, Moby).  Marla has landed quite a few good syncs in movies and TV shows which is quite remarkable and KEY for a new artist – check out her MySpace page to see where you might have heard her catchy little numbers before…

All in all – cute song and everyone can hum along with it.  The sun is shining right now in New York and with "Lipstick For The Vampires" as my soundtrack for today – I'm quite excited to get out there and explore some more.
