For today’s MySpace Discovery I am taking you to the wild wild west (ok Joshua Tree National Park) where tumbleweeds roam free and electro beats by renowned remixer Morgan Page fill the air. Morgan’s new single "The Longest Road" has been causing quite a stir in America lately as it reached #4 on the Billboard Club Play Chart competing against Madonna’s "4 Minutes" and that God-awful Mariah Carey song.
It seems Morgan Page is onto something with "The Longest Road". Opening with the sexy synthed-up vocals "giddy up and go" alongside a Texas-esqe guitar sample over an ice-cool electronic beat – you’ll find yourself getting willingly lost in the open range and longing for a glass a water – it’s that hot.
Make sure you check out the song and remixes on MySpace and if you really like the special sound that Morgan brings to the table, you may also be interested in checking out some of his other remixed works for rather cool artists like Imogen Heap, Tegan & Sara, Ultra Nate, Coldplay and Stevie Nicks over on his official website.
Morgan Page’s album "Elevate" is out now and here’s the vid-e-o to "The Longest Road" which somehow brings up memories of DM’s "Personal Jesus" to mind…Enjoy.
