Hey EQs – I'm in Switzerland at the moment on holiday and it's all going by so fast.  But I just wanted to do a quickie blog today because there are quite a bunch of bitty bits that I thought were entertaining that I wanted you to know about. Also a big shout-out and squeezy hug to Will-W.  His interview with Dragonette is a very good read and you should check it out below!  Will will be entertaining you this weekend and I'll be back on Monday EQs! 

Paris Hilton trapped Lady Gaga in the backroom at Punk in London recently and forced her to do a drunken interview – it's rather hilarious.  Do you really think Lady Gaga likes "Stars Are Blind" or was she just being nice?  Did you know recently Lada Gaga was taken down by Will-W in a single smackdown for Canadian radio?  Will's song "Push The Envelope" got more votes than "Love Game" by the Gaga – go Will!  I sense a duet coming on…

Lady Gaga has also announced she is releasing a new EP – "The Cherry Tree Sessions" which many of you enjoyed the YouTube videos too.  The new EP is being released online on Feb 3rd and even in physical format a month later.  Enjoy the artwork!  The EP will include the Cherry True Session versions of "Just Dance", "Poker Face" and even "Eh Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say)" which sounds like it might be in the line-up for single release since it's been getting the remix treatment…

The silence has been broken.  Red Blooded Women's next single will be "Enjoy The Silence". Yes it's a cover of the Depeche Mode classic that the girls performed at the last EY show.  It's stomping and epic and we can't wait to hear the remixes for this one – especially the Parralox remix.  Don't forget to come support the girls at the next EQ night…and speaking of the EQ night…

Newsflash: Dr. Belly will be appearing at the next EQ@Underbelly club night on 27th February, performing his upcoming single "Belly".  Dr. Belly singing "Belly" at Underbelly – it just works doesn't it!

Metronomy has been working the remixes lately.  Check out this free download of the Blackout remix for "A Thing For Me".  They have also remixed the Imogen Heap / Temposhark remix for "Not That Big" as well which will appear on a new EP for their next single in March in lead up to the new album! New Temposhark album = excitement.  Little do the band know that I've been camping outside their studio with a jar on my ear hoping for a little glimpse of the new sound…Download the Metronomy remix of "Not That Big" right now via the fun Hard Candy Music.

And speaking of remixes, in case you've forgotten, A Crowd Electric has remixed Britney's "Circus" that you can download on their website now.  These guys are quickly gaining momentum as serious remixers and stand out for me.  Their ability to take a vocal and give it a completely new sound and twist is monumental and I hope they continue to work their magic.  A Crowd Electric remix for "Pocket" by Sam Sparro would be fab.  Go ahead guys, work the Lady Gaga too!
