I was certain that when the beat dropped in “St Tropez” by FYFE that it would be your average indie pop song. Luckily the drop had an electronic bass line complemented by skillfully played horns. The full band sound in “St Tropez” fits perfectly with the smooth production. It is almost like Beirut and Diplo had a baby. Score!

FYFE has a beautiful vibrato that gives his tenor voice a soulful boost. It is the kind of the voice that doesn’t have to do much in order to draw you in. “St Tropez” begins with FYFE’s sweet voice right from the beginning. No introduction needed. “St Tropez” is a great follow up to his debut single, “Solace.” This fresh voice from London is one to get to know.
