To be honest there isn’t much to reveal about upcoming Stockholm based artist and production act Orion just as yet, apart from a legacy of superb remixes that have dropped online over the past year and which have gone on to serve Orion up a highly regarded mentor in Swedish producer Jonas Quant.
Impacting with “Love Like You’ve Never Been Hurt Before” the first result of their mentorship, Orion sweeps on board home town vocalist Hedvig.
A scintillating synth strewn track ensues fuelled by a driving backbeat whereupon, Hedvig delivers a top note of melancholy in recognition of the broken hearted.
All that’s good about Swedish music is served up in this endearing synth pop moment.
