Rising synth-pop artist Shura has already proven herself to be the new queen of the slow-jam but I consider this time around she might even have surpassed herself in her no less than exemplary previous efforts.
As the summer festival scene kicks off in earnest you’ll be sure to see Shura’s name flagged up on many top festival line up’s – FACT! Appropriately to this end, Shura has landed a positively epic new track titled “White Light” on the internet whilst, simultaneously in conjunction with a premiere via Annie Mac’s “Hottest Record In The World” feature. In this instance I feel it really couldn’t be more deserving a call.
The build on this spacey nu-disco odyssey reveals itself to be quite the sublimely mastered intro. Yet when it further blossoms into Shura’s characteristically signature source of the dreamiest touch of electronica, topped only by the whispery light texture that Shura’s delicate vox brings, it only makes for “White Light” to become that extra bit exquisitely special.
Coming in also at an epic 7 minutes long is no mean feat for a single effort these days, or any day really but Shura earns a positive reaction for thinking out of the box on this one, because “White Light” is a truly radiantly stunning glitter pop gem if ever I heard one.
The release date on this is July 24th, too bad ehh the iTunes pre-order hasn’t kicked in yet. Definitely one that is instantly on this EQ’s wishlist!
