Since the end of the week is almost here, I feel like we are in need of a suitably infectious bop to take us into this summertime-fuelled weekend. In fact, I need look no further than London-based pop artist Rhian! whom I have come to know as an artist exuding musical versatility and diversity. He has proved this in his tracks “NO!,” “Stay” and “Ecstasy,” shared on this blog. For his latest release “Vitamin D,” Rhian! is reaching into his fun-fectious side once more, when teaming up with influential performer, the trans woman Brandy X.
It’s been a few tracks since Rhian! allowed his fun side to peek through in his music and I feel Rhian! is very much making up for this fact on “Vitamin D“. A song which is unabashedly playful and with more than exhibiting, a hint of camp attitude. Thus creating a refreshing and lively listening experience.

“The lyrics are left open to interpretation. I’m not going say, what it’s about. It could be about the sun’s nutrients or not. I was feeling very playful and cheeky when I wrote it.”
The song is written with collaborator and producer Massimo (Braghieri) Paramour. And furthermore, see’s Rhian! ft Brandy X jump aboard a club-banger aesthetic with great aplomb. However, regardless of the tracks, and notable playful nature, this does not diminish Rhian!’s artistic integrity or skilful artistry. In fact, I would say alongside Brandy’s sexy vocal, Rhian! seizes the opportunity to spotlight his glass-shattering falsetto vocal to impressive effect.
It’s good that Rhian! demonstrates an impressive ability to seamlessly blend thought-provoking lyrical compositions with upbeat, carefree tracks. Thus showcasing a multifaceted and diverse musical repertoire. Moreover, unbound by popular trends, he fearlessly ventures into uncharted sonic territories, setting the pace for his musical innovation. In this instance, a healthy dose of “Vitamin D” stands out with its striking originality and warrants undivided attention for its exceptional and truly unique vocal qualities.
