After teasing the track “Dopamine” back in November 2025, Robyn can contain her excitement no longer. The Swedish pop icon has officially announced her ninth studio album, subsequently sending the pop world into an immediate frenzy. “Sexistential“, set for release on 27 March via Young. After teasing the album during the “Dopamine” premiere, Robyn kicks off the new year with a confirmation that instantly shakes off the winter blues.

Never one to do things by halves, Robyn doesn’t stop at an album announcement alone. Alongside the news, she’s unveiled not one but two new tracks: the bold focus single “Talk To Me” and the album’s provocative title track, “Sexistential.” Fans lucky enough to attend Robyn’s New Year’s Eve show were reportedly treated to early performances of the new material. A fitting way to ring in 2026.

Described by Robyn as her most ecstatic record yet, “Sexistential” promises playful pop at full throttle. Additionally, she likens the album’s energy to “a spaceship coming through the atmosphere at a really high speed and crash landing”. A vivid metaphor that perfectly captures the record’s emotional intensity and sonic rush.

The title track “Sexistential” is emphatic and punchy, embracing themes of pleasure, vulnerability, and bodily autonomy with fearless honesty. Defiant yet soft, the song has been immediately hailed as one of Robyn’s most daring moments. A conceptually bold pop statement accompanied by a newly released lyric video.

For those craving classic Robyn euphoria, “Talk To Me” delivers in spades. Produced by long-time collaborator Klas Åhlund alongside Oscar Holter, with Max Martin on co-writing duties. This track is pure, unfiltered fun. Written during the pandemic, Robyn explains, “I like talkers, that turns me on,” capturing the flirty, playful energy that fans know and love.

The single arrives with a sleek music video directed by Casper Sejersen, further cementing Robyn’s return as one of 2026’s most thrilling pop moments so far. With “Sexistential” on the horizon, Robyn isn’t just back — she’s absolutely soaring.
