Who knew Rebecca & Fiona had it in them to let rip with the attitude and venture into a punk edged direction.

Well, the Swedish pop vixens have certainly gone there and not by half measures on “Pop Bitches”.

If this is an attempt to shake off all memory of their glitzy EDM bangers and start afresh. Then consider they’ve arrived at their destination with this acidicly served riot of colourfully magnified pop sherbert. When the girls say they go in hard, they totally mean it. And I greatly admire them for throwing caution to the wind over throwing our audio sensory perceptions of them. I just think Rebecca and Fiona are having some kind of fun with this. Don’t get me wrong the verses of this song are boisterously spikier than a goths studded choker collar. But something a shade softer happens when the chorus arrives and it’s this what truly makes this song cause to write about.

I love the zestiness of this song. Moreover, I quite like that it’s some twisted shit to be honest and not bowing to trends. Now this is why my judgement leads me to roll some support on this one. If Becca and Fi can just tone things down a couple of notches but retain the sassy spirit in the longer run, my feelings are they will be making the right kind if noise, that could end up being pretty darn exciting.
