Brightlightbrightlight

Bright Light Bright Light (aka Rod Thomas) is on a mission to win your heart over with his special blend of 80's infused electronic pop and we've becoming quite the super fans over here at EQ as of late ever since Mandy first featured him on EQ Trax not too long ago.  His new single "Love Part II" has pretty much been on repeat all day with it's glorious chorus – it quite swiftly sends me straight back to the synth-pop days of Kon Kan (remember them?) and Bronski Beat with it's feel good charm and delivery.  His track "Good Times" is a lush affair too with it's groovable electronic bassline and drum machines while "How To Make A Heart" could very well be the one song that will make you fall head over heals in musical love with this red-hot Londoner on-the-rise.

We got a chance to meet Rod at the last EQ Live and he is just as charming and personable as his music suggests.  Completley deserving of all the praise that is being waxed upon him at the moment – we are most certainly happy to lend our hearts and ears in promotion of Bright Light Bright Light as he takes on the world of pop this year.  Put him in the same category of hot new male electronica stars like Penguin Prison, Grum and Starsmith if you need a basis for comparison.

I highly suggest you check out "Love Part II" and Rod's other tracks on his MySpace page – keep your eyes peeled for more exclusive Bright Light Bright Light coverage coming your way soon…
