If truth be told, I am most used to hearing about Ella Eyre jumping on, a collaboration than unleashing her own tracks. I actually first learned about her when she peeped with some guest vocals for the Bastille mixtape series “Others People Heartache.” I guess I am more familiar with her being associated with big dance tracks such as “Just Got Paid” etc. Ella’s debut album “Feline” came out in 2015, which is quite some considerable time ago. Yet she is a well-known face on the live music and festival circuit.
Clearly, we need more releases from her, off of her own back, rather than team-ups. The excellent news is she has listened to her fans. Going forwards, Ella is releasing a series of tracks to be shared as a special gift to fans over the coming weeks. Beginning with “L.O.V.(e).” a massive fan favourite, a track which she has been performing live for years. As opposed to being dancey, this track really pops. In fact, it is undeniably pop. It just goes to show that the Eyreheads, know their own minds when it comes to good, pop. The taste!
Needless to say, I am well into this Ella Eyre track in particular. I feel the vibe is right, exactly what is needed to give us a euphoric, lift being as we can’t go out to shows and festivals right now. I know I NEED this kind of vibey connection, as a way to restore some balance in the transition into summer. Thank you Eyreheads for keeping on, asking when this one was going to get an official release. Believe me, if I could sing along to this from the rooftops I would, due to current restrictions, I’ll settle for the safety and comfort of my sofa, instead.
