Believe it or not, the first song has been selected for Eurovision 2021 in Rotterdam. Anxhela Peristeri will represent Albania with the track “Karma.” The pre-selection process for Eurovision is an excellent place to discover a plethora of new pop acts. Regardless as to whether they make it all the way through the competition procedure. Under the guise of, Xtra Basic (& Emily J), Igor Volhonski tried out for a place at the, 2019, competition in Tel Aviv. The project was succeeded by that nice chap Victor Crone with the track “Storm.” Undeterred by the defeat Igor has since begun recording under the new moniker of Hellove. To show there were no hard feelings between the Estonian 2019 Eurovision competitors. And in almost a six degrees of separation twist, Victor Crone has coincidentally helped out with the lyrics for Hellove’s recent release “I Got You.“
Hellove is now a champion of charismatic EDM. He works in this style and releases his tracks independently. He is also bringing exciting vocalists onboard, like Korean-American artist, songwriter, producer and DJ Gloria Kim. In fact, he is doing a splendid job all around.
The lush production of the track is thoughtful and considered and has been put in place as a backdrop for Gloria’s smooth pop-sensible vocals. “I Got You” is very much what I would refer to as being endearing and charming. While unfurling a story about finding and holding onto love.
“We are asleep until we fall in love. The right person will come along and, you won’t need to do anything to keep them interested for the simple fact that you’ll be enough.” Hellove explains.
What I like here with Hellove, is that he is concentrating on launching with soothing, sonic gems, only. The kind of easy on the ears music, which is enveloping and rather wonderful to luxuriate and stress bust in, for a while. In my opinion, Hellove gets it right, “I Got You” is a song which is leaving a big smile on my face. The sound is lush, the mood mesmeric. Estonia has earned good provenance with putting EDM on the map. Hellove’s breakout releases consummately carry on the trend.
