I used to think that Goldfrapp's "Rocket" could just be the single of the year, but after Robyn premiered a new track called "Fembots" on her official website just a few hours ago, I might just take that back!
I have literally listened to the stream about ten times on repeat and can't get enough of it. It's like "Konichiwa Bitches" part two with it's glorious thumping tongue-in-cheek computer beats. It's like an electro-pop dream come true – I feel the excitement starting to bubble up again for Robyn madness. Although her filler projects with Royksopp, Diplo and I Blame Coco are cool and all – I really really really want a new Robyn album like right now!
This is the most excitement I've had today! Bring on the first London show – I'll be in the front row thank you very much! I have a special place in my heart for Robyn, her London Cargo show was the first live review I ever wrote for EQ and ever since then – I've been a fan for life.
Girlfriend is just incredible.
