Well quite. Who wants to be seen “Drinkin Alone“. Toronto singer, songwriter and dancer, Cooper Bloom enquires with his boppy debut effort. The emerging singer honed his fine singing skills and created some buzz sharing covers of Harry Styles, Sam Fischer and James TW tracks on Tik Tok and Instagram. Yet the track “Drinkin Alone” he’s been gearing up to release for months, is positively shiny electro-pop, ready-made for dancing. And I warn you… you will get this song stuck in your head!
Cooper’s distinct sound can be described as playful, young but timeless combining the pop anthem feel of Lady Gaga with the disco influence of Dua Lipa. (His bio informs). I am noticing, he’s delivering unabashed pop and having fun with it, creating uplifting vibes that will be relatable to listeners. Also, he’s being pretty truthful with these lyrics. He shares some of his experiences with sadness but is resolute about making change. Rather than turning melancholy, he’s switched onto dance mode. As surely that will help to wake up some happy endorphins.
As introductions to emerging artists go, “Drinkin Alone” is a dazzling effort. As a song, it is both instantly likeable and danceable. The music is catchy pop hooks infused with a good time! It gives me a nice hint of what to expect from Cooper Bloom. Enough to know, that I am intrigued to hear more.
