I don’t know if you have noticed? but, Bentley Robles is pretty much my main pop boy of choice these days. What’s more, I am absolutely devouring every electro-pop morsel Bentley serves. Suffice it to say I am enthusiastically ecstatic, that a new era has begun, straight from finishing the Tears and Gearz tour. In July Bentley dropped off the bombastic “High definition Lover.” The track is now followed up by “Cobra,” – a pulsating dose of incendiary 2000s, EDM-influenced crossover pop. Moreover, the track is the catalyst behind Bentley’s latest musical era. The driving force for the transformative music style choice.
What is it that has Bentley so rattled that he is launching into a new sound style and era, I hear you ask? Well, basically in the song “Cobra,” the singer has justifiably taken exception to a former friend’s betrayal of him. Furthermore, is calling them out for their sneaky, malicious actions. Bentley describes them as “such a good actor, pretty as a snake biting down on me now. Diamante eyes cut like daggers, lethal like the fangs you got in your mouth“.
Unequivocally there is no love lost between these two. The chaotic electro-pop frenzy Bentley and LA-based producer Hubby have created for this track conveys this cathartic experience to full effect. Leaning into his creative energy, Bentley turns about the hurt endured into a blast of invigorating high-energy electro-pop.

Two tracks into the new era, I am definitely down for an EP’s worth of bouncy electro-pop energy. I have craved for an artist to indulge me with such and I am ecstatic my music addiction is being fed by Bentley.
