I’m am so grateful for the day, PRIZM came into my life. Hitting play on any track by the Dallas retro-pop duo has me instantly uplifted and feeling perky. Arriving with their fourth single “Can’t Bring Me DownKrisluv and Danni James comment…

“”Can’t Bring Me Down” was an idea we had for a power anthem to uplift everyone during a time of change and uncertainty. It was the first of the new songs we wrote for the upcoming album and was the first time we had created something in weeks.”

Hello, did somebody say album, already? Folks it is coming. The long-player entitled “All Night” arrives September 4th. Don’t hesitate in, marking it on your wish list. (I may or may not have had an early listen. What I will confirm for sure, is if you like a dollop of nostalgia served with your synth-pop this album is sure to be up your alley.)

I fear I have digressed, too much away from the glittery new single. As I was saying before I got distracted by the “All Night” album announcement. The latest single “Can’t Bring Me Down,” is a total 80s recall. Borrowing more than a smidgeon of inspiration from Janet Jackson and comes loaded with a pocketful of sax. Resplendent with all the glittery feels of the mid-80s. For all the latest trends which keep coming to light in present-day pop.
PRIZM’s skilful take on era is proof that this synth-pop style has aged well. More than that, that they are the ones to take it forward, so a new generation can feel the same excite, teenage me got my kicks from. I really do not think Billie Eilish or Lana capable of serving, such. Betty Who, Dagny and PRIZM certainly do.

Put this song on, the beat is so catchy your feet will have no choice than to dance.

Pre-Order – the “All Night” album – releases via independent label FiXT Neon. 4th, September – HERE
