Robyn continues to build anticipation for her upcoming ninth studio album “Sexistential“, arriving March 27 via Young, with the surprise arrival of another shimmering preview: “Blow My Mind.” Following the previously released tracks “Dopamine,” “Talk To Me,” and the bold title track “Sexistential.” The Swedish pop visionary once again proves she knows exactly how to keep fans leaning forward for more.

While “Blow My Mind” may sound brand new to casual listeners, longtime Robyn devotees will recognise the song from much earlier in her catalogue. The track originally appeared on her 2002 album “Don’t Stop the Music“, where it captured the emotional rush of romance and the thrill of connection. Two decades later, Robyn has returned to the idea with a completely reimagined perspective. And the results feel both nostalgic and refreshingly current.

The newly recorded version reframes the song’s emotional centre. Rather than focusing on romantic love, Robyn channels the overwhelming feelings that come with motherhood. Describing the track online, she writes:

“Messy sensations, contradicting and fighting for attention, CUTE, AGGRESSION, total devotion. “Blow My Mind” is another snapshot of my love life. I love this song so much and always wanted to re-record it, this time it’s about my son’s tiny soft hands with nails sharp as knives”.

It’s a wonderfully Robyn-esque image: tender, chaotic, and intensely human.

Musically, the glow-up is just as striking. The original’s early-2000s pop framework has been swapped for a sparkling synth-driven treatment that feels right at home in Robyn’s modern sonic universe. The production pulses with bright electronic textures and emotional urgency, elevating the track into something that feels both rediscovered and reborn.

Revisiting older material isn’t unusual for artists on stage. Yet Robyn’s decision to officially revisit and reinvent “Blow My Mind” adds a deeper dimension to her evolving catalogue. It shows how songs can grow alongside the lives of the people who write them.

With Sexistential set to feature nine tracks in total, the album is shaping up to be a tight yet emotionally expansive collection. Robyn will support the release with a 2026 headlining tour, including four UK shows in June. And will also open for Harry Styles during the Amsterdam dates of his Together Together residency.

If these early previews are anything to go by, “Sexistential” isn’t just another chapter in Robyn’s career. It’s a reflection on how love, life, and pop music continue to transform with time.
