As news reaches us that Calvin Harris secured the most successful song of the summer with his rave sprung bouncy anthem “Summer” (well at least according to the stats from Spotify), the Scottish DJ turned singer / performer joins ranks with rising soul-pop sensation John Newman on his follow up release.

Newman who has received most notability for and broke through via his collaborations with genre-blending dance outfit Rudimental takes up the vocal lead on Harris’s latest production “Blame”.

Exhibiting a more house lead shift in dynamics to its raved fuelled predecessor “Blame” concentrates upon Newman’s raspy soul deep vocals which in turn sets-up the track with a powered-up charge ensuing of some big juicy Harris turned beats.

Following up the globally received “Summer” was always going to pose a certain amount of challenge for the Scottish DJ and whilst “Blame” isn’t quite so high on the infectiously bouncy beat count, it is moreover John Newman’s intensely resplendent part in vocal assistance which maketh this release the stomper that it is.
