New UK singer Joel has recorded a cover version of Ne-Yo's "Beautiful Monster" and you know what – it's not half bad. OK it's not the greatest song or cover we've ever heard, but Joel has a bit of potential me thinks. To be honest, I didn't even know the song was a cover because well, I don't really follow Ne-Yo and all that, so in my opinion – the track sounds pretty fresh. And for what it's worth, Joel's version of "Beautiful Monster" has just entered the BBC UK Indie charts – which is a strange little chart with lots of Basshunter in it, but nevertheless, it's getting a response.
I should let you know too that my opinion has not been changed due to Joel's gratitous ab flash after the jump – which I might add came along with his single package today…
