“‘Money‘ goes out to all those fake ass people. Users who use those around them; for money, for status, for fame. S/O to fake friends and gold-diggers!” Norway’s icy synth-pop duo Anna of the North, exclaim. The style in which the duo condemn the fakers is pretty sweet though, glistening with Anna of the North’s slickly deployed, tingling, synth steered, signature sound.
The track is another example of the band’s recent run of releases – comprising of gorgeous melodies with darker messages peeking through a shimmering exterior of twinkling beats and beguiling, electronic landscapes and, which leads to the release of “Lovers” the duo’s first full-length due this September.
The mix of songwriting and music is immaculately presented and captures everything minimalistic and delicately dreamy that we’ve come to love about Anna and the North.
