Graffiti6 are one of the most exciting new bands to emerge in a long time and I've been a fan ever since I heard "Stare Into The Sun" last summer. The news went out this morning that their official first single will be "Annie You Save Me" and you can hear a clip of it right now over on their MySpace page.
When recently asked to describe the music that Graffiti6 makes, this is what Tommy had to say –
“To me, Graffiti6 is party music. We make songs for people to play when they’re dolling themselves up for a night out, to get down on dancefloors to and to rave around their front room to when they roll back drunk. It’s music we genuinely believe will make people feel good about themselves. That has to start from us having fun. When we’re not, we’ll stop.”
From the sounds of it – "Annie You Save Me" is promising to be a fun light-hearted summer track and upon just one listen, I'm already started to feel the warmth of summer heating up the sky.
Here's a fun fact for you too: While as a DJ, Tommy D of Graffiti6 discovered and produced the massive #1 hit "I'm Too Sexy" for Right Said Fred – wow!
