This kinda took me by surprise, but just in time for the holidays, Frankmusik has released an acoustic version of his debut album called, cleverly – "Completely Me".
Comparing the release of the acoustic album to Bob Dylan – this is what Frankmusik HQ said in a fan mailout today:
"Okay, so most of us are probably too young to remember when Bob Dylan went electric, but it was a pretty momentous occasion. Where Dylan went, scores of young electro-apprentices followed… but never one to follow the crowd, Frankmusik has decided to buck the trend by going acoustic!"
The acoustic album is now available on iTunes and 7Digital. With a remix album, pop album and now an acoustic album for "Complete Me" – one has to wonder if Frankmusik is setting a new trend for electronica acts…perhaps Little Boots and La Roux should take note – another good way to squeeze some cash out of the loyal fans…and hell, I am buying it…
A lot of effort went into this debut album that is supposed to be "flying under the radar" if you ask me…
