Kissincities

I am LOVING this song right now by new duo Kiss In Cities.

This little bit of electro-pop heaven is called "U R My Girl" and if you think the two hotties above look familiar, well you've seen them in another band I've written about called We Are (Performance).

So this whole throwback to the sound of 1987 Madonna/Jellybean sounds uber fresh right now and if Kiss In Cities are going to continue to make songs in this vein, then they might be a band that I could quite easily start obsessing over.

I asked Kiss In Cities to provide some commentary about the track and this is what they had to say:

"The track is about girls. Being strong and sticking up for each other against the odds. It's about friendship and sisterhood; Fun and deviance. Inspiration = friends, sisters, strong female figures, pink flamingos and freedom. Dance dance dance! Look out for each other, embrace the absurd and ALWAYS maintain a positive vibe!
The video was inspired by the film Warriors, Tank Girl and a Native American aesthetic. We shot it above Dry Bar, which was opened by Factory Records. Amongst lots of dead pigeons, broken bottles and some 1980s graffiti done by Madonna, we danced around and had some fun. The best part was filling the balloons with glitter and then hitting them with our weapons.

Check them out on MySpace and enjoy the video in it's tribal Sunscreem/Jane Child glory to "U R My Girl" right now!
