If there’s one alt-pop album that I’ll be eagerly awaiting, it’s the sophomore bid from CHEW LiPS! Consider yourselves already briefed on this by way of my previous “Listen Up” post, but if you missed out first time round on that, check it out HERE.
I’m so enthralled by the whole soundscape on this lead-in track “Hurricane”, from it’s eclectically leaning introduction that bursts into intermittently explosive interludes of disco pop sophistication, to its sheer tuned toe-tapping brilliance of difference that sets it apart from the bountiful everyday generic swirl of contemporary dance pop numbers. This as they say, completely tweaks my buttons!
The warehouse setting for the performance video adds in an urban twist, aesthetically complimenting the underground vibe of the track.
