London production duo Royalty Chesca and Elliot Yorke have seen a rise up from the underground fronting a similar sound pattern with an added twist of funk.
The duo has teamed up with Sweden’s Kissy Asplund on new release “Eroica” and bring about a heavy squelching bass line that transcends the funk house track into a sensuously dark and rhythmically swaying synth melting pot that with the addition of Kissy delivers a sleek dance funk romp that if Kissy were not the choice vocalist here, I could quite imagine that with shades of “You Know Me Better” running through it Roisin Murphy would turn this one out.
