Is Hurts the most visually appealing band you've ever seen or not?
Seriously though, I didn't pay much attention to Hurts until I saw this music video for "Better Than Love" and it was one of those moments that really brought clarity to the massive hype machine around them. When so many people are going "this band is amazing, this band is amazing" sometimes I tend to tune off until I truly connect with it and that's exactly what I did just now by watching "Better Than Love".
We also found this bit of info quite funny about Hurts. Here is a list of items that made it into their record contract…and it got me thinking, if I got a record contract, what would I ask for? Well this is what Hurt's demands on their rise to pop stardom…
1 Saville Row tailored suit / 1 Manchester United season ticket / 1 umbrella / 2 tickets for the 2010 Eurovision song contest / 4 flight tickets to LA / A glass of gin with Simon Cowell / 1 comb…
Nice to know that the boys from Hurts value a nice haircut and suit along with with a bit of football and Eurovision for contrasting balance whilst holidaying and hob-knobbing with Simon Cowell in LA over gin. Now that's truly what I call "the rock star life". But if there is one thing that is essential in that list – the umbrella would win hands down.
