Professor Green is back for a second album, and whilst EQ has never been his biggest fan, we’re pleased to hear that his new sound seems less brash and more mature than his debut work. The first single from the album is called “Read All About It”, and features deeply confessional lyrics from Pro Green alongside soulful vocals from MOBO hopeful Emeli Sande.
The new track is a wide departure from his previous hits “Just Be Good to Green” and “I Need You Tonight”; the hooks and hit melodies are still there, but the honest lyrics and absence of an overbearing sample mean that the overall sound is easier on the ear and more wholesome to listen to.
In other words, we like it.
